Tiny House on a Trailer
About three or four years ago, my brother Abram, got a book about tiny houses for his birthday. He was instantly drawn to the world of tiny houses, and had a dream to build one. My dad decided to make it a family project.
First, Abram had to figure out what to build the house on. Tiny houses can be built on the ground, like a normal house, or on a trailer. Since we didn’t want the house to be a permanent addition to our yard, Abram decided to build it on a trailer.
My dad found a trailer, and we towed it back to our house, and set it up in our yard. The first thing to do was rip out all of the old wood. Within a few hours, we had a pile of wood, and the bare bones of the trailer.
Then, Abram and my dad figured out what was going to go where, and the different designs for the trailer. Then they laid out plywood on the bottom, and started building the walls. With all four walls up, they started on the roof, then the outside siding.
At this time, we could technically sleep in the tiny house, so we did. We set up sleeping bags, and even brought in our old VCR to watch Ghost Busters on.
After the first night, Abram and Dad got the loft built, and put a mattress there. Then they added insulation. My cousins came to visit, so we slept in the tiny house. It was much warmer, and more comfortable.
Then they added the dry wall, and installed a ladder to get to the loft. Abram moved his furniture and cloths in, and we put in a miniature pullout couch.
Abram now lives out there and loves it. Electricity has been installed, so all Abram has to do is plug it in to the house. Would you live in a tiny house?
Bye for now!
