My Favorite Books of 2019
Happy December! Can you believe it’s already December? 2019 has flown by so fast! Over the course of December, I read (and reread) a lot of books. Today, I’m going to share with you some of my favorite books I read in 2019.
The Chronicles of Narnia
By C.S. Lewis
When I was younger, my dad read the Chronicles of Narnia to my brothers and I. I only remember The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I finally reread the series this year, and I love it. My favorite book is The Horse and His Boy.
Hello Universe
By Erin Entrada Kelly
I got this book for Christmas in 2018 along with a bucket load of other books. I read it in early January, and I loved it. It is very entertaining.
Five Feet Apart
By Rachael Lippincot, Mikki Daughtry, and Tobias Iaconis
I saw the trailer for the movie, and then I found out it was a book. I was super excited, and kept it in the back of my head for a few months. I got a Barnes and Noble gift card and finally bought it. I read the book in two days, hardly putting it down.
The Hunger Games
By Suzanne Collins
In the summer of 2018 I read the Hunger Games for the first time. I zipped through the series, and loved it. This past summer my family went on a relaxing camping trip. I only brought The Hunger Games and Catching Fire with me, thinking I would have enough books to read over the weekend long camping trip. I was wrong. I sat in our hammock and started the book, and a few hours later I realized I was already half way through.
Stephen King on Writing
By Stephen King
I got this book for my birthday. I’m not finished with it yet, but so far I’m loving it. There is so much great advice in this book and I feel like every writer should read it.

Hi! I’m Hannah, a crazy pen-wielding, jack-of-all-trades writer. I write contemporary stories with a magical (or vintage!) twist, usually featuring big families, delicious food, and a few tear jerking scenes. When I’m not writing, you could find me camping, sewing, hiking, cycling, skiing, playing violin or piano, reading, and many other “-ing” words.
I just finished “Empire of the Summer Moon” which was my first audio book from the gift subscription you gave me. (Thank you so much)
It was very interesting and I enjoyed it immensely.
The Hunger Games is one of my favorite trilogies! Which book is your favorite?
That’s a very hard decision…I’d have to say Catching Fire.
That one was really good! I loved the first book, but I also loved Finnick. XD
I really liked the survival aspect in the first book, but the new characters in the second book were hilarious!
