What I Like
Right now, I’m sitting in a hot bedroom, in a 100 year-old-house, during summer. Sadly, our house doesn’t have air conditioning, so it can heat up! One of my favorite things to do when the house turns into an oven is to go to the freezer, and eat frozen blueberries.
Speaking of favorites, lets talk about what I like. In the summer, I swim, camp, hike, sleep in, visit our cousins, ride my bike, relax, read, eat frozen things, scrapbook, you name it! Why don’t I make this a little more organized though.
I like to write. I’ve been writing stories since I was about eight or nine.
You could also say I’m musical too. I play the oboe. I’ve been playing piano since I was five, and I’ve been singing since I could remember. A couple years ago, My brother got a ukelele for Christmas, and he is learning to play it. Sometimes, he lets me borrow it to try to play.
I ask for the weirdest things for Christmas and my birthday. Scrap booking stuff, popcorn, gummy worms, a tent, nail polish, you name it! My stepmom knits a lot, so I tried learning that too, but I’m not very good. I think I like to knit any possible way that doesn’t include needles. One day, I looked up how to arm knit and the next thing I knew, I was obsessed with arm knitting. Then I tried finger knitting, which I plan on doing a lot of.
I have a love for animals. But what’s weird is that I don’t like looking at cute cat and dog pictures of small little teacup pups, I like big dogs like German Shepherds and Huskies. Cats are okay too, but I like dogs better. Ever since I was little, I loved horses. My room used to have horse curtains, horse blankets, horse pillows, horse pictures, and of course, horse toys scattered everywhere! I also have a deep love for alpaca’s. When I get older, I want to have a farm with alpacas, horses, cats and dogs.
Now onto the crafting stuff. My dad scrapbooks, and has been teaching me since I was about eight. He tried to teach two of my brothers, but they didn’t really like it. I do it on my own now, and make a scrapbook for every summer since 2014. I just finished my 2017 one. That was a crazy summer, a totally different post, but it consisted of 10 kids vs. three adults in the wilderness with bikes.
I also love hot glue guns. I’ve made some disasters with them though, I’ve covered a whole notebook in hot glue, but have managed to never burn myself. I also love fake flowers, so fake flowers+hot glue=a big creative mess. I used to obsess with saving old containers of gum for crafts, but eventually I stopped.

Hi! I’m Hannah, a crazy pen-wielding, jack-of-all-trades writer. I write contemporary stories with a magical (or vintage!) twist, usually featuring big families, delicious food, and a few tear jerking scenes. When I’m not writing, you could find me camping, sewing, hiking, cycling, skiing, playing violin or piano, reading, and many other “-ing” words.
Great Blog.. You may turn out to be a writer ! You certainly have the talent for it. Put me on your list.. I don’t know how to do it but would like to read each of your posts.
Thank you so much. I will definently add you to my list.
